🇪🇸Our business trainee, Diogo, spent four weeks in Valencia with go.for europe. Find out what his international internship was like on the following pages …💬As part of my training, I had the opportunity to complete a four-week international internship in Valencia, Spain. Even before I left, I was excited to live and work in another country for a few weeks, use my Spanish in everyday life, and gain new experiences. Looking back, this time was a very special and formative experience for me, one that I fondly remember. After arriving in Valencia, I was welcomed by my host family and was able to get my first impressions of life in Spain right away. During the first week, I attended the AIP Language school. There, I realized how important it is to actively use the language in everyday life, as this helped me become more confident in speaking Spanish and communicate more effectively. Afterward, my internship began at the company Europea de Caretillas in Picassent. At first, a lot of things were new to me, but I quickly settled in and gained a better understanding of the work processes. I found it particularly interesting to attend a logistics and technology trade show in Valencia, where I gained insight into modern products and the company’s presentation. In the weeks that followed, I worked primarily in accounting, where I reviewed and sorted invoices and reconciled them with Excel spreadsheets. This helped me gain confidence week by week and allowed me to work more and more independently. Even outside of my internship, I made the most of my time in Valencia. Together with the group, I met new people, went on many trips around the city, and visited various sights such as the Ciudad de las Artes y las Ciencias and Valencia’s Old Town. We also spent a lot of time at the beach, which was a wonderful change of pace from everyday life. Overall, the four weeks in Valencia were a very valuable experience for me. 🇫🇷 Student exchange at Lycée Henri Darras. Our apprentice Tim spent two weeks in France. He has nothing but good things to say about it 😎 “@pmhs_nuertingen organized this annual exchange. For two weeks, we students spent time together and got to know life in our neighboring country better. In addition to attending school, we went on exciting field trips and participated in group activities. We were also able to improve our language skills during that time 😎. In addition to classroom lessons, we got hands-on experience and made a bottle opener and a miner’s lamp that we turned ourselves. Giving the Gift of a Future Together 💫 Thanks to a donation from us, the Khaniguan School in Nepal was able to provide new school uniforms for all students! Their beaming faces show just how much a small gesture can often make a difference. Education begins with opportunities, and we want to be a part of that. We were also able to provide mosquito nets and blankets for underprivileged families and people in need of care in the region. Our connection to Nepal goes back many years.
