After three and a half years, you will be able to manufacture a wide variety of precision parts so that our customers can install them in their machines and/or gearboxes.
Industrial applications in turning, milling, grinding, and gear-cutting machine systems.
General Duties
- Manufacturing of precision components (primarily made of metal) using the following processes:
- Rotate
- Milling
- Drilling
- Grinding
- Interlocking
- Operating CNC and conventional machines
- Programming Numerically Controlled Machines
- Monitoring and Optimizing Manufacturing Processes
- Continuous quality control throughout the entire manufacturing process
- Working in a two-shift system
Requirements / What should you bring to the table?
- Academic
- Either a good secondary school diploma followed by enrollment in a vocational school specializing in METALWORK
- or a high school diploma or higher
- good grades in math and physics
- Good computer skills (MS Office)
- Proficient Use of Word Processing Software
- technical understanding of machines and computers, manual dexterity

Here's How Your Apprenticeship Will Work With Us – Dual Apprenticeship
You’ll spend your first year in the vocational preparation program at the Philipp-Matthäus-Hahn School in Nürtingen, where you’ll learn the basics. During this time, you’ll spend one day a week with us on-site for hands-on training. Starting in your second year of training, you’ll support us three and a half days a week in a variety of departments, following a training plan. Vocational school classes are held part-time (1–2 days a week). In total, the training program to become a machining technician lasts three and a half years. The training takes place at our location in Kohlberg.
